My version of 'Offline' from Pedro Fernandez Works. One of my favourite busts and a compelling backstory from the creators provided inspiration and guidance ( https://pedrofernandezworks.blogspot.com/2019/11/offline.html ). I took the opportunity here to attempt structured fabric textures and had fun coming up with ways to paint the houndstooth tweed.

    Gold. Gold. Gold!

Can’t wait till you stop using the potato camera.

    • Josh_Underhill

Thankyou Kara! - Yes but I think its the operator to blame - I am not a photographer - only a phone but an iphone 11 shooting RAW so potentially shouldn’t have been too bad - just something I need to improve on

Beautiful work. Listen to Kara ;)

    • Josh_Underhill

Thankyou very much Roman, (yes I will)

  • Bran

Congrats, your painting is fantastic !!

  • John Delamere

    Amazing paintwork.
The textures and lighting are awesome. And to paint houndstooth as a pattern must have taken a while especially with all the color variations in the shading.
Absolutely gorgeous. I still need to paint my copy.

  • Jorge Budagosky

Una preciosidad. Las texturas están muy bien logradas asi como los ojos “aguados” a punto de estallar en llanto. Espectacular. Oro y favorito

    • Jorge Budagosky

It is a beauty. The textures are very well achieved as well as the “watery” eyes, about to burst into tears. Spectacular. gold and favorite

    • Josh_Underhill

Gracias Jorge. - I’m glad you can read the intention - I wasn’t sure if it was apparent in these photos. I did try to depict eyes red and brimming with tears following the character backstory from Pepe Gallego/PF Works.

  • Jim Jackson

Very pretty and quite realistic. So many painters go for super bright everywhere, but you’ve done just enough highlights. The pattern work is fantastic and I love your treatment of her hair!! GOLD

    • Josh_Underhill

Thanks Jim! - I did try not to overpaint the face and hair

  • Luis Ugarte

    Great job! Gold!
