On the first day of July 1863 two Army's collided in a town called Gettysburg. Henry Morrow the colonel of the 24th Michigan Infantry Regiment saw the colors fall and picked them up and defiantly waved them to inspire his men to make a stand and guard the rear of the Union Army as they positioned themselves for a horrible three day battle that would define the war.
