An academic bust from Hera Models. Here I focused on a quick sketching style as taught on miniature art academy. For the main volumes and color modulation I used a wet paint sketch approach. Once I had a base I was happy with, I worked with glazes and also thick layer color application to pick out the many wrinkles and other details. I chose a mainly blue hue for the skin, and decided to go for various colors with a yellow tint for the hair, tusks, teeth and a gold NMM nose ring.

This project took about 8 - 10 hours to paint and I am happy with the results for such a quick effort.
