When I first saw Patrick J. Jones' illustrations, I fell in love with all of them. A few months ago a great friend offered me to paint this miniature for his private collection and I couldn't
reject the opportunity. The challenge this time has been to get as close as possible to the original illustration.

    Great painting with very well done atmosphere. I think that the only improvement would be adding the cold lighting into highlights on warm elements (satchel, red hair, etc). It looks like you were highlighting them in defferent color than the final highlights on the rest of the miniature (my guess is that they were painted last and didn’t get the green-ish tint from other elements which were painted as the 1st step). Other than that (which is very small ‘but’), the atmosphere in perfect and very interesting.
