This is my painting of Cthulhu. Sculpted by Michael Kontraros. The color palette consists of greens (dark unsaturated all the way to luminous yellow), purple, pinks, red-browns, and various blues. The ship was painted in warm greys. The way I approached this is I wanted the colors to seem like they were shifting. Almost like a cuttlefish. The color work is very subtle throughout but meant to move your eye around. Until you finally find the ship Cthulhu has captured. I hope you enjoy the painting. Cheers!
