Jean Carrouges ,who fought several campains against the King of England, became famous fighting in one of the last judicial duels permitted by the French king. (Carrouges accused Jacques Le Gris of raping his wife )

Of course the idea came after watching Ridley Scott's film.

the figure comes from Medieval Forge Miniatures (75mm)
Oil painted.

Really cool knight. Well put in pose. I do like the dusty appereance of the scene. Silver from my side. I personally am not so convinced by the metals. In my eyes they are missing contrast and also reflecting the environment like the color of the sky in the highlights and the color of the desert in the shadows. They do look good if I consider they are placed at a doctors room with white light from everywhere.I like the presentation of different materials, though I do no understand how your light placement on the red fabric. It seems that your light placement is coming from a zenital direction, means some of the red wrinkles and surfaces are directly hit by light but are painted in dark shadow. It visually confuses me. No offense just my honest impression. Overall really good work, that is why I vote a strong silver.

thanks for taking time comenting my figure.
      very intersting point of view
I aimed at a zenithal direction thus trying to focus on light direction, which I tried to represent enhancing the metal highlights.
I find it difficult to reflect diffrent sources of lights on painting metal surfaces with historical subjects.
I usually do try it out with larger scale busts where the reflecting colors surfaces seem more appropriate
      thanks Roman

I enjoy the freehands on this very much. The shield on the ground is a nice touch. And the symbols on the knight’s shield and torso are done so well.
