SU-85 Tamiya 35072 Finished! A Classic Kit Straight from the Box! A variety of materials and paints were used!
I used the Lifecolor Soviet Army Set CS23! Also, I have done a highlighting “Paneling” using an airbrush. After that wI used the Lifecolor Liquid Pigment LPW34 Green Shadow to give a more uniform finish. The application was done all over the surface using undiluted LPW34 using a flat brush. I left it to dry well for 2 days. Then I done a pin wash (on selective areas) using the Liquid Pigment Black Umber LPW02.
The tracks were primed with AK-Interactive Surface Primer AK185 and then were dry brushed with the Vallejo Metal Color Steel 712. I secured them on the wheels giving a realistic sugging using the excellent cyanoacrylate glue Ultra Resistant Magnet AK12015.
To make a "dusty" look and giving a little "metallic tank look" I used the AK-interactive oil 502 Abteilung Buff ABT035 making dry brushing all over the surface (insist more on the raised details) using a synthetic flat brush!
I really enjoyed this one. I managed to finish a 1/35 scale tank model after 30 years of figure modelling the most!
