This was my first diorama! I didn't want to do the typical purple worm, so I found some artwork of lava worms and used them for inspiration. I'm very happy with how it turned out. The worm is detachable from the diorama by cracking the mud around the base, the model has magnets glued on and there is a metal plate underneath. This diorama was painted for a friend and I wanted him to be able to use the worm in a game if he wanted.
I 3D printed and painted some smaller critters to add as little Easter eggs, and for reference the fox and squirrel are attached to paper clips in the photos.
