This is a gorgeous model by Romain van den Bogaert that was just incredibly lovely to paint. It depicts the spring goddess of the Sámi. Thawing the frost to gove food for the famished reindeer.

The task was to paint it sorta like a mandala, where each colour was just dabbled in at random thought. Each part had to be connected and nothing planned. Which made it wholly enjoyable, but also tricky in the end, with half a painted head, and half a reindeer. Whether there is a balance is of course up to the viewer to decide.
