A wonderful bust from Spiramirabilis. I’ve had this on the shelf for a while now, and managed to finish it for my final piece of 2023. When I saw it, I knew I wanted to try to capture some of the magic and feeling of the classic Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Sword and the Stone films. This bust was unexpectedly challenging to paint - Arthur’s direction, and the position of the owl’s head (slightly up an away) made it tricky to find balance and focus. After a few failed approaches in some areas, I am happy with how it finally turned out. Painted largely with Kimera, Scale Artistt, AK and the new game color range. A bit of inks her and there too

    Many versions I have seen of this sculpt, yours does not dissapoint, Nate. My favourite part is the white beard! Really impressive! Keep on happy painting!
