Hello,
This is my first post in this forum.

I want to show you my Vignette 1/35: Armfeldts Karoliner. (Caroleans).
The scene in from 1719, when the north group of the Swedish army retreated from Norway back to Sweden. They were surprised by a snowstorm in the mountains, (Tydalsfjällen), the march over the mountains lasted for 4-5 days. About 3700 of 5000 Karoliner died during or soon after the march because of the cold weather.

The idea of the vignette comes from a picture painted by Göte Göransson in the book “Karoliner” from 1976.
The sledge cannon, the drum and the clothes/hats/weapon are all sculpted. Two of the heads are from Hornet, drummer boy is an AK head/figure but with a sculpted uniform.
The snow is made of bicarbonate, a really cheap and easy way of making snow.

This is my way of honoring the Karoliner who died in the mountains 305 years ago.
Made in 2023. /Erik
