I've been stepping outside of my comfort zone to do larger and more ambitious pieces. This one is the Octavius bust by Black Crow Miniatures surrounded by a scratch built scene.

    Putting a bust in such a nice setup tells a whole different story in the end. All the small little details that are there to discover are fascinating and feel like straight out of an Alchemist laboratory. I really like how you focus on himself with the white OSL from the book that makes his hand and blood vessels turn red. Magical! Lovely work! Keep on happy painting!

    Wonderful idea Adam.  love the atmosphere you’re creating for this bust.  the addition of the alchemy components are wonderful.  Just my 2 cents (hope you don’t mind) but I feel the box itself is a bit to bulky.  I like the idea but I think thinner side would be nice or perhaps thinner sides and a rounded back.  I would also consider making the stones for the wall individually and then attaching them.  Awesome work.  :)
