This is good for a first bust. I especially like the skin and the face, there is a solid light situation going on. Overall on the bust I can see where you let your light come in, all well placed from the same direction. From my point of view it could be even stronger influancing the shirt and the sword belt to really connect with the hair and face. I like the alternative, natural plinth although it distracts a bit! Keep on happy painting!
