Hello everyone, today I would like to show you my latest finished piece. It is an academic bust sculpted by Thorbjorne Barone called Priscilla. She was part of his KS and I really like the soft features of the face and the challenge of painting something NMM. She was painted in oil colours and tbh, I think this is my best work so far. I am extremely proud of the face, as for the first time I managed to create blends with oils I could be proud of. The Armour was another issue. I tried to sketch it with acrylics and then paint it with oils, however it didn't work. Thankfully, my friends helped guide me and I think it looks decent. There are parts, which could have been done better, I admit, however, I wanted to move forward.

Even though I am proud of the face, I am not sure I could paint it again to the same level. Painting is funny this way. It takes practice and more practice and when you manage something, it doesn't mean I can automatically do it again. But that is learning, I guess.

I tried to keep the shadows deeper and hold the centre of light more vividly, something similar, which Jero has on his two beautiful versions. I had fun painting this bust and I am glad it taught me new things. I hope you like it as well, thank you for your time, if you read this. Take care and keep on painting!
