I would like to share with you my latest storytelling project called “Shadow”, which has been maturing in my mind since the beginning of the year. Although it refers to the brutal and controversial practice of young seal hunting, I felt compelled to portray it. Sadly, clubbing seals is not prohibited—only regulated—and it serves as an example of the mistreatment of animals. Regardless of whether it is a pet or a wild animal, this should not happen.

This adorable seal pup was sculpted by the amazing artist Maya Pantic from Animal Den Miniatures. Although it is a small and simple miniature, I faced the challenge of casting shadows on highly textured snow. Several attempts ended up in the trash, and I only managed to overcome it a week before the Monte San Savino Show.

What makes this project even more meaningful to me are your touching reactions at the Monte San Savino Show, where, to my honor, it was awarded by Best of Creativity. Thank you for coming to me and sharing your feelings so openly. I didn’t expect it, and it means so much to me that you felt the same connection.
