Here is the Salute 2014 mini painted for their 2015 Painting Competition*. This is a 28mm mini sculpted by Michael Perry ... I have just taken some very large and unforgiving photos!
It was fun to paint ... but given that I usually paint fantasy stuff, the agony of trying to make sure that I got insignia etc correct was something that I am not used to. Anyway, he was well worth the time spent with him bagging me first place in the competition to paint this model.

The mini represents Commander Maud on Juno Beach at Normandy but more in the style of Kenneth Moore in the film The Longest Day.

* For those that do not know, Salute issue a free mini with your ticket each year. The challenge is then to do something interesting with it for next year's competition when the mini has its own class.
