This is my first historical attempt. I wanted to create a warm desert type atmosphere putting a lot of red on the mix.
Almost all of the project is based on pictures of real faces and leather. This is my way to paint, copying life.

      Thank you Vanpoucke. That was my main goal.
      No oilpainting. This effect is done by giving several strokes to still wet glazes taking out the water of the paint. The result is a semi-satin looking perfect for sweaty faces.
