This piece is very important for me for several reasons:
This is the prologue of a series of works dedicated to the Cosmos and the Universe. I was always a geek of astronomy and i want to play with this passion, find a personal way of representing the concepts of deep space objects through a figure or character.For the prologue of the series, no object is better than the mother of stars, the Milky Way: our galaxy, our home, our mother. This is my vision of the Milky Way, a strange mother that plays with the Stars and Planets, moving around like a player with dice... is something connected with the idea i have about fate: case is the only fate.
In the last three years for Monte San Savino, the Best of Fantasy and Best of Historical were awarded to two illustrations made by great artists. Last year my great friend, master Alfonso Giraldes did an incredible illustration for the best of fantasy for example... but this year after a long time thinking about it i decided to create my selves the prize: i am not an illustrator, i have not the master's hand of the others that go before me, but i am involved in Monte as something that comes from my heart. This year for the 10th anniversary i want to give a a piece of myself to the show.
