So I decided to deleted my first posting of my Saladin seeing the picture was so damn bad. This photo is from the 2015 MMSI show in Chicago.. and is Much much better than anything I can do. I think I need to take a photography course... thanks for looking!

      I’m on my phone. I can only load 1 pic at a time. When I try to do more, all the pics turn the same as whatever the last photo loaded is.

    So I have to say, this has been my most confusing experience as a figure painter and has raised many questions. My previous post with Saladin with a terrible picture (what I thought) had a much higher score than when I put up a better picture (what I think is better).. Why is this? Is my perseption of my own work so distorted that I think I am better than I actually am? Or is my perception of what I think a “good” photo distorted? Were people before when they voted just being generous with my older works to create an inflated score and sense of accomplishment as a painter? I by no means think myself a fantastic painter and I have still much to learn. I thought I have been improving yet the scores are telling me otherwise. Honestly I am having a difficult time with the feelings I’m experiencing..

      I use my phone with a light box ... My photos are better but sometimes the color is quite desaturated (quite grey) ... So I’ll try with a real camera ..  to enhance also the depth of the photos ...i keep trying
