75mm scale

I don't like talk much about some meanings in art (you know, if everything could be said with words then we don't need pictorial art at all), but this time I want to say few words, because as soon as I very like classical art and symbolism, this time it is a symbolic composition that is built on opposition of different aspects: the seasons - autumn (end of cycle) and spring (birth-giving), woman and man, ages, war (crow on the shield, axe) and peace (green calm color, shelter). The horsecloth show the scenes of witches’ Sabbath and it is a symbol of dissolute and lewd life.On the other side the woman has calm-green colors, light golden hairs and she is done in very light colors that show her purity. Opened gates in this scene can mean the forgivnes.
I hope I was not too much tedious :)

(I made it before I made a basement darker)
By the way it is really not so easy to make composition in such scale. But I learned a lot.

Hope you like it
Thanks,

This - Dmitry - was one of my personal favourites at Monte San Savino Show 2015. I love your stuff, your creativity, your way of creating your creations!

    Absolutly wonderfull.
I love that classical feeling of the freehands.

    • Fesechko

Thank you! It really was a trial to make those drawings over the drapery and to harmonize it with all the composition!

  • Archontis Kitsios

Makes me wanna throw away my own WIP copy of St. George! Just brilliant, the colors, the symbolism, the composition, the freehands on the horsecloth…Pure art, GOLD seems too little…Excellent, congratulations!

    • Fesechko

Don’t throw it! :) May be you’ll just find some inspiration for it. This is very interesting model to work one, but not the easy one

  • Sławomir Borysowski - "Sławol"

    Beautiful scene!

I don’t like NMM, I prefer metallics, but it’s always a pleasure to me seeing such a great painting in NMM like here on this model:) Very subtle.

Love the freehands on the horse, damn…

    10/10!

    Best regards!
    Sławol

The NMM technique was chosen to make the patterns and drawings on the armour. I think this knight would also look awesome with true metals in metal guilding technique I used on Veteran warrior bust and medieval Man at arms. I should try to make some “Knight in shining armour ” :) Thanks
