She choked and gasped as she descended through the smoke and ash. How long had it been since she was driven out? Since when her beautiful creation had been marred by those that had once paid her tribute. She had been known by many names, Gaia, Terra, Jord, Demeter, even Mother. She had tried to teach them to live in harmony with her creation but in the end they were self-centered. Not caring about the future or others. She left them to their fate. The planet withered and died. But now was After. A chance to begin anew. Perhaps this time would be different.

My entry for the Rainbow brush and MHE competition at Gencon 50. The model was based off the fantastic artwork of Brom. This is my interpretation. Sculpted by Andrea Jula.
