I tried to give an historical interpretation based on observation in the Museo Nacional de Antropologia de Mexico, about the jade collar and the haircut.
You have to know two things 1) in the mayan culture having a long skull was sign of beauty, and women shahe thier forehead to enhance their beauty. So I "shave" the forehead to give a strange kind of beauty. The second point is Kilian MBappé is the best soccer player !
The typical bust which mix historical esearch and painting.

Pour ce qui est du buste de Pacal I, Il se trouve que j’ai la photo d’un portrait en bas-relief de Palenque. La figurine est directement inspirée de ce bas-relief. Vous remarquerez que le fichu sur la tête de la figurine est trop large. Ce qui demande une transformation pour être conforme. Les cheveux de devant sous le diadème ne sont pas rouges, mais naturellement noirs. Néanmoins, le reste parait correct. Je vous envoie cette photo sur votre site Messenger de Face Book.

Je viens de terminer Pacal et je suis d’accord avec vous sur les modifs à apporter. Ce que j’ai fait d’ailleurs en m’inspirant du buste de Pacal présent au musée d’anthropologie de Mexico, ainsi que d’une stèle du musée des Amériques de Madrid.

Thanks a lot Jakob ! for the anciant maya a big forehead was a sign of beauty. So they shave their forehead and they also distort the child’s skull. I saw some figure ans representation of this in the Museo Nacional de Antropologia in Mexico City. I took inforamtion also in this museum for the bust of Pakal.
