The idea was to represent Apollon as the sun (covered in gold), flying in space (stars on the base) and i made a freehand with planets on the cloak to make it resemble a solar system (but not exactly our solar system). The sphere on his belly is a neutron star powering up his sword, various leds on the armour and the chariot.
I also wanted to make a tribute to my teacher and biggest friend in the painting (and cooking) world, Francesco Farabi, by painting something he loves so much: stars and planets. <br />
The inspiration on how to paint some NMM golden parts, came from some Banshee works: the Colossus and the Ghost Rider.<br />
