This was my biggest project thus far, and the most difficult i've ever painted. Got a Gold medal on Scale Model Challenge and Silver medal in Monte San Savino Show 2018.

The idea was to represent Apollon as the sun (covered in gold), flying in space (stars on the base) and i made a freehand with planets on the cloak to make it resemble a solar system (but not exactly our solar system). The sphere on his belly is a neutron star powering up his sword, various leds on the armour and the chariot.

I also wanted to make a tribute to my teacher and biggest friend in the painting (and cooking) world, Francesco Farabi, by painting something he loves so much: stars and planets.

The inspiration on how to paint some NMM golden parts, came from some Banshee works: the Colossus and the Ghost Rider.
