This scene is a foil to the other. Where it was underpainted blue, this one was done in yellow, psuedo verdaccio. Where it was dark, this is light, where it was fatalistic, this one is... somewhat triumphant.

Playing with a lot of ideas, old skin, perspective (which will only really work from the one view, but such is life), and a whole lot of painting flat surfaces, how do painters even do that? My goodness that was hard, for a guy who has never painted anything not a figure remotely seriously.

So I'll leave you with Pratchett on Old Warriors: 'They’ve had a lifetime’s experience of not dying. They’ve become very good at it.' Probably should have taken this guy seriously.

    Don’t be afraid!, no problems. Only the two columns on the enter of the scene, the floor, two banners on the sides of the throne, (the sun and the moon references) are many maconnic references.

      Cool, honestly didn’t know that, I did one banner sun, and thought well,  let’s mix it up and do moon.  Kind of presenting an extremely pompous king.  His sigil being the winged sword, and his lineage being sun and moon.  (Mothers and fathers banner sort of deal.

      Just kind of ‘what would I think a throne room should look like’.  Big open room, banners, elevated central throne.  Scream wealth/excess.  You know?
