My version of the Seiren bust from Nuts Planet sculpted by Jun-sik Ahn. Originally I intended to paint this as a moonlit nocturne scene but early on decided instead to paint shiny textured skin like that of a dolphin or shark. I chose this bust to continue experimenting with painting water droplets and rivulets on the skin, in this case to suggest she's just emerged from the water. I hope you like it.

    I love this paintjob! Gold!

The water work is fantastic stuff.  Very believable

Just a question: the water drops are sculpted or just Painted? :-)

    • Josh_Underhill

All painted… If you zoom in to the photos you can see the brush strokes etc. Also like some types of NMM the illusion works best at a certain viewpoint so the drops out of the centre of any point of view lose any appearance of depth.

Wet and beautiful! As Archigrog said, the drops seem to have relieve.

Hi Josh. A beautiful piece of work. The colours and detail are exceptional and you have captured the runs of water superbly. Well worthy of a gold.
