From Altores Studio. Sculpted by my favorite sculptor Alexander Deryabin. This is my fourth box art of his models, and it is the one I am most happy with.
Alexander always creates stunning different artwork - and this certainly is. Kitsch, cool and qwirky. I see this girly as much as a cosplayer than a retro future characteer.
It’s been fun!
You go girl!
Tak Tobias! :)
Thanks so much!
She is superb, I love her!
Thank you mate! Happy you do!
Thank you for the vote
Fantastic work ❤️
Thanks so much Alex! Happy to hear.
Great painting technique
Thanks so much! Just checked out your work and love it!
What a wonderful paint!! My compliments!
So great, I love it :) One of the pieces where the backdrop works perfectly.
Thanks so much! Yes backdrops can be tricky and rarely do they work on busts without being integrated in stortelling - in my opinion.
Beautiful painting! Gold
gold love the metalics
Thank you! The engines are all nmm but the rest is a mix.
Full of atmosphere.
Thank you - I hoped so
Marvellous work! I love the sky.
Thank you. I had to take pics for box art all in black without sky and it felt like half a model.
Love the face shield on the helmet.
Thanks so much! Visor was most tricky bit actually.
Lovely characterization. You’ve managed to make her quite evocative. Gold and editor’s :)
Thank you so much for comment and editor’s :) very proud of this little lady, so good to see her on the cover :)
“I believe I can fly!” Beautiful ambience - the bust and the backdrop fits perfectly!
Thanks so much Martin! Happy to hear.
Thank you for your kind words and wonderful painting, my friend!
Where is the platinum medal button?
Hi Alexander! Thank you! Hope to paint many more of your sculpts. Best wishes
Great, realy great. I like a lot.
Gold of course
Thanks Eric :)
Very good job Jakob !!
What a beautiful story to begin with ... the sculpt is sublime, but you litterally transcended it ...
And the colors !! You know how much I love desaturated atmospheres and palettes ... the balance is equisite, and there is so much to be seen.
You’ve had some extraordinary good piece in your portfolio, but this one is by far the one I connect the most with. Thank you Jakob !
Thanks so much for this nice comment. I am glad you like it. It is fun to notice that people like it so mich, because it was just such a joy to paint. Apart from visor, none of the parts was any trouble, and all was just a breeze. The punk I did was pretty much the same. Just fun and play. I think i have three gears: pieces that really have something to say (my artsy stuff) which are usually hard. Pieces that I don’t really connect much with and usually has some tricky elements and are hard to finish as I am not engaged. And then finally, these ones that are just fun all the way through. Same with anything in life really. If you care about the stuff you do, it shines through. I remember someone ‘defending’ why the loved Bob Dylan: ‘he may not be the best singer, and he may be rough around the edges, but the listener can feel his sincerety and love for what he does when he sings. It might not be relateable (because why would it be), but people relate to it because they feel my joy in painting it. Maybe
Awesome work done.
Tak Jonas :)
