Alexander always creates stunning different artwork - and this certainly is. Kitsch, cool and qwirky. I see this girly as much as a cosplayer than a retro future character.

All painted in oils, I also left a little homage to my friend Dmitry Fesechko who introduced me to this wonderful medium - a brush I got from him years ago that finally died.

      Thanks so much! Yes backdrops can be tricky and rarely do they work on busts without being integrated in stortelling - in my opinion.

    What a beautiful story to begin with ... the sculpt is sublime, but you litterally transcended it ...

    And the colors !! You know how much I love desaturated atmospheres and palettes ... the balance is equisite, and there is so much to be seen.

      Thanks so much for this nice comment. I am glad you like it. It is fun to notice that people like it so mich, because it was just such a joy to paint. Apart from visor, none of the parts was any trouble, and all was just a breeze. The punk I did was pretty much the same. Just fun and play. I think i have three gears: pieces that really have something to say (my artsy stuff) which are usually hard. Pieces that I don’t really connect much with and usually has some tricky elements and are hard to finish as I am not engaged. And then finally, these ones that are just fun all the way through. Same with anything in life really. If you care about the stuff you do, it shines through. I remember someone ‘defending’ why the loved Bob Dylan: ‘he may not be the best singer, and he may be rough around the edges, but the listener can feel his sincerety and love for what he does when he sings. It might not be relateable (because why would it be), but people relate to it because they feel my joy in painting it. Maybe
