I couldn´t resist adding one more medieval diorama, and I have done quite a few over the years... !
This 54mm scratch built diorama shows the last stand of the Templar knights at the battle of Hattin in 1187 where the kingdom of Jerusalem was lost to the victorious Saladin and his forces. Having read a lot about the crusades this is one moment that has stuck with me, the desperate last stand at this important battle...
I had a great time focusing on the different emotions, both in the figures body language as well as their facial expression.
From aggressive to fear, from pain to despair. This scene was done in 2017.
Now some of you guys might wonder why I keep adding these "oldies", well I thought that not all had seen these before so here we go! There is more to come and there will be new figures and vignettes as well.
