Hi! A few weeks ago i painted this stunning bust by FeR miniatures, a great sculpt by Pedro Fernández. Idon't know why i don't paint more historical figures, as usually they require a different approach i enjoy a lot because i feel i have to paint a little different and not do what i am used to, so it pushes me to not autopilot.

    This is an absolute masterpiece. The tarnished steel helmet with all the environmental reflections is executed perfectly. The gold of the idol wonderfully luminous. The textures on the leather, the cloak are lovely. But that face! I really enjoy how you have heavily weathered the sneaky Conquistador, he has the gold but is he going to be able to keep it as he slinks off into the jungle?
