I painted this bust a few months ago, although I still hadn't uploaded it to P&P. It's the reference mumber 10 of my own brand of female miniature busts "Women By Pepa Saavedra". It's the third bust of the 4 seasons series.
I was inspired by an autumn sunset and the colors I chose were rich and deep: ochre, purple, dark green, brown and orange tones. The right part of this bust is influenced by the warm shades of the sunset (a color metaphor referring to the previous season: the Summer). While on the left side I "cooled" the colors to show the transition to cold winter. The 4 busts of this series have much more artistic sense if they are contemplated together.
