My take on Yndrasta.



It was a big challenge, with many risk taking. The ambiance was the main one, with a balance to create between the golden warm light on the front, and the greenish blue ambiance on the back.
Taking into account the reflections of the environment to this extent was also new to me, and I wish I had more time to go even deaper.

The resin base was also a first for me, as well as the mossy textures. I didn't use any products to simulate vegetation, in order to keep as much details as possible on the base.

The wings, referenced on a swamp owl, were also a challenge. It is the part that took me the most research and efforts. I chose to keep a raw finish, in order to keep the focus on the character. I also tried to implement their reflection on the sword blade and the back of the arms. The wings, with the directional light, create a point of light reflection that I had to take into account.



Overall it was painted really fast, and in harsh conditions. I hope you'll like this swamp warhammer valkyrie, that is my 2023 MPO Single figure entry !

    Impressive work on the overall scheme. Would love to see a bit more detail on the armour painting and some close ups of the wings, but what I can see I like a lot!

      Thank you very much Roman. You have been and still are an inspiration of mine. Maybe at some point I’ll upload some close-ups, we didn’t make any since we were rushed by the time for entering the MPO.
