Scale 1:12, Spira Mirabilis

"At the foot of Yggdrasil, the tree of the world, the three norns, Urðr, Verðandi and Skuld spin the threads of fate. Each thread is a life with knots of importance of joy and grief until that life dies and becomes a dark shadow. At the foot of Yggdrasil is where your fate lies too."

I had the urge to paint them "nordic-viking-grimdark". Hope you like them!

    This is the first painted version of this awesome bust I think I`ve seen and it is stunning. Like, it is so clearly your style, but at the same time new and different. It fits perfectly next to your last piece from Hellblade.

    What struck me as an immediate eye-catcher is the loom? or the thing in the hand above - it has green inside, which is then present in the whole piece, mainly in the shadows. And it creates this natural and dark ambience. And the bit of red on the string gives the whole piece a fantastic detail. It really is an impressive piece, making me look at it and decipher how you made the tattoo look tribal, flowy and yet haunting. This is why I love miniature art. Perfect, Roman.

    fantastic piece maestro.  I’m very interested in Norse mythology too and love the idea of fate and the norns.  Really like the portrayal you have of them with the Norse symbology and that little touch of bright warmth right where the norns are suppose to cut the thread of life.  I’m very much looking forward to tackling this bust myself.
