Some kisses are sweet and full of love while others can be bitter and really really harmful. Unfortunately this diorama represent the one of the last ones.

It was a very difficult piece to work on because of its topic but I think that art should be also used for social criticism and not look away.

    Courageous but disturbing choice.
    A cause worth defending.
Personally, I wouldn’t have found the strength to paint this.

    • David_cualquiera

Thanks a lot. Yeah it is a difficult topic and kinda hard for me to paint it but also I think that is important to show the not so beauty part of life

  • Marius "Der Stone "Stein

Wow that’s a strong message. Very well done. Did you paint the tear drops?

    • David_cualquiera

Thanks. Actualy the tear drops are UV resin :)

Gut wrenching…Just the other day I was thinking about how rare and atypical it is for miniature painters to tackle confronting themes and subjects. I was wondering how such pieces would be recieved at a show/comp. Well here is a particularly raw and confronting example.

    • David_cualquiera

Yes, I think the same, miniature painting is a relatively new art and there is a lot of things and topics to be explore. I want to see more unconfortable pieces.

Roman will be here soon, I can feel it.

I have no words. Art is a powerful vehicule and you chose it to express a difficult but yet important matter. Bravo.

    • David_cualquiera

Thank you! Hope he drops by.
Art sometimes is beauty, sometimes is like a punch in the gut, I think that what makes art art is the hability to make you feel things but not always good things. If there is not feelings and emotions there is no art just coloring a piece.

    Alphafourtwo is right :)

Great piece! Hits in the guts, deep storytelling and confronting uncomfortable emotions. Well done! Really well done! Emotional, aggressive and finger-pointing towards this problem and issue! Applause!

    Keep on happy painting!

    • David_cualquiera

Thanks a lot Roman, glad you like it :)
Also thanks for your words I’m trully honored.

      Happy painting!
