Memento Mori is Latin and originally meant something like "Remember your mortality" but in this case it is intended to mean "remember the clan Mōri"
The Mōri Family was a clan that dominated the strategic western Honshu region of south-central Japan from early in the 16th century to the middle of the 19th century.
This diorama shows a samurai of the clan Mōri which rides home even though he has fallen in a battle. that is loyalty to the dead!
The mini is the Undead Samurai from DarkHammer miniatures.
it was pure joy to build this diorama. hope you like it.
