Sir Roger Trumpington was a knight involved in the crusades of 1270 (the ninth crusade ) alongside Prince Edward. After a very difficult journey the knights reached Palestine where they relieved Acre from a besieging army.

Once back in England, we have records of Sir Roger taking part in a tournament in Windsor in 1278. Little is heard of him thereafter until 1289 when he died,

The figure is a classic from Romeo - 75 mm
oil painted
both shieds are scratched

A monumental berial brass actually shows the original heraldry
