I wanted with this piece to be braver in my colour choices and contrast, I wanted to achieve a cartoony/sketchy style inspired by comics such as Tank Girl.
I wanted also to mix futuristic/apocalyptic with traditional lore. Here Buddy is contemplating what happened to his Australian ancestors, standing near a sacred site, he listens to their voices, searching for the way forward, in this orange and desolate land.
