Hey everyone,
My name is Miriam and I love painting miniatures. I’m from the Netherlands and I live together with my boyfriend and 2 cats. Yes, crazy cat lady right here.
I’ve started, as I think most of us, with warhammer miniatures and trying to create an army for games. Emphasis on trying for me, I’ve been unable to fully paint an army so far since I tend to get distracted by the painting. Which is not a bad thing and I finally realised that just painting and trying to improve my painting is the most fun for me.
I’ve recently won a 3rd price in a Big Child Creatives painting competition and I am planning on entering the World Model Expo in Eindhoven in 2021. Maybe even a Golden Demon if I can scrounge up the funds to travel, but I am aiming to compete there!
I think there is always more to learn and you should not be disheartened by comparing your work to that of a master painter. Everyone can learn how to paint with dedication and practice, not to forget loads of experimenting and just having fun!
