I played D&D as a kid and painted a bunch of “lead figures” as we called them. Then life got in the way and 20 years went by and I lost track of the things I found fun as a child. I’ve been rediscovering them lately. I was amazed at how far the figure painting art had evolved in my absence—the quality of the sculpting and painting is truly amazing now, and it inspired me to try to learn. I’m self taught, and I teach Latin and Philosophy full time—- so I rarely get time to paint, and I’ve had no professional training. I’m learning by trial and error, but I’m also a very slow painter, so this means that I might get a couple of figures done in a year. I thought I’d see what tips and tricks the pros can give me!
