"Veteran of a thousand battles, is a lone warrior, a mercenary who wanders in search of his next assignment, the next murder, his next battle. He is old, but still keeps fit, experienced after hundreds of fightings where he always came out victorious . You can call him "A clever guy", wise in his profession, trained in every combat technique, collecting new items after each conflict. The whole arsenal that may be useful to face future enemies .. what the hard life taught to him as a fighter was to learn how to survive for the next job, and how each enemy requires a different strategy, a different weapon or an attitude that the enemy could not wait ... you can call him "the collector", but he consider himself as a cautious and cunning old fighter. Anything that might be useful, is worthy of being carried during the crossing. and what it is no longer useful worthless and discarded, as all the people who have killed as hundreds. only the most valuable continues. The only thing he never forget to carry with him is his bottle of liquor .. maybe the only thing that keeps him tied to the pleasures of this world ... because everything else is just and always..WAR."

Alfonso, you turned this concept into a wonderful sculpt. This miniature will provide an awesome canvas for many painters for years to come. I really like the weary look on him, almost like he’s saying: ‘I am getting to old for this $#!&’. Also I enjoy to see the sketches included with all the little comments.

I love the grizzled look. I love all the small details too, and even his posture is spot on. However, I wish that his blade had a cross guard on it like in your concept art.
